III CIEPC
Research Protocol and Networks
The Research Group on the History of Legal and Political Thought of the National University of Distance Education (UNED) in Madrid (Spain), announces the III International Congress on Contemporary Protocol, which, under the motto "Protocol and research networks", will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Faculties of Law and Political Science and Sociology, during the days of March 29, 30 and 31, 2017.
Protocol is a cross-cutting discipline interconnected with communication and public relations, history, and law. Its multidisciplinary nature is undeniable. Protocol researchers come from diverse sectors, which implies the use of different methodologies and multiple approaches. It is essential to combine these efforts to achieve a holistic perspective.
On the other hand, the transdisciplinary nature of the protocol makes it essential to use methods that allow us to connect scientific knowledge, extra-scientific experience, and practical problem-solving. Transdisciplinarity is the best perspective for understanding certain aspects of society when multiple problems exist that cannot be effectively resolved due to the influence of various actors involved in the process. This integrated form of research offers the most advantages in the current multidisciplinary state of the protocol, as it allows for the participation of experts who open channels of discussion and dialogue among themselves, combined with extra-scientific experience and everyday professional practice.
