Barajas Airport currently has four terminals in operation. Terminal 4, inaugurated in February 2006, has received several awards for its acclaimed design by architects Antonio Lamela and Richard Rogers. In addition, Madrid-Barajas offers more than 138,000 m² of retail and leisure space for passengers to enjoy before their flight.
